fox_forma Posted July 31, 2007 Report Posted July 31, 2007 Seeing if anyone has one laying around they dont want. The TORS is still on my bike, just not hooked up and I have a kink in my cable which I believe it the culprit of my mid range power issues because I cant seem to get the carbs to synch up correctly. If anyone has one they dont need please let me know before I go buy one. Quote
theshee Posted July 31, 2007 Report Posted July 31, 2007 Ive got a brand new one... Paid 28 for it, will sell it for $15 shipped. Quote
theshee Posted July 31, 2007 Report Posted July 31, 2007 Nevermind.. I cant find the new one and the only one I have is a twist cable on a twist throttle set up im not using. Quote
fox_forma Posted July 31, 2007 Author Report Posted July 31, 2007 Nevermind.. I cant find the new one and the only one I have is a twist cable on a twist throttle set up im not using. Thanks anyhow, is the twist throttle cable any different though? I thought just the throttle housing was different? Quote
nunyabinness Posted July 31, 2007 Report Posted July 31, 2007 yes there is a difference. the cable sticking out of the threaded end is too long to use with a thumb throttle. i might have a decent one out in my garage. i will have to look. if i do have a decent one you can have it for the price of shipping. i will go out and check in a few minutes. That would be sweet if theres no kinks or anything in it and its not stretched out. Looking at mine some more the cable is pretty shot from housing to TOR's Quote
nunyabinness Posted July 31, 2007 Report Posted July 31, 2007 ok i went out and looked. i found 4 TORS cables.... all of them have something wrong with them. 3 of them are broken at the splitter housing. 1 looks like it would be useable but i pulled the tors boxes apart (just to see what they consisted of) and at the other end the little piece that screws into your thumb throttle has become loose. it might work for you in a pinch (i can put the tors box back together or you can use your boxes) but that's all i could find for now. let me know if you are interested in it. fox_forma Posted July 31, 2007 Author Report Posted July 31, 2007 thanks man but thats basically the same issue I am dealing with now that is screwing me up. Thanks for checking though. I appreciate it Quote
nunyabinness Posted July 31, 2007 Report Posted July 31, 2007 not a problem. i'm just curious why you don't just get a TORS removal kit? Quote
fox_forma Posted July 31, 2007 Author Report Posted July 31, 2007 I plan on it but was hoping to find a cable off someone thats just laying around so I can be sure my throttle issue is within that. Just an easy fix for right now till I have time to do the TORS removal. Quote
