allstarbanshee Posted June 12, 2007 Report Posted June 12, 2007 (edited) Just kinda curious on everyones opinion on how to cut the rear fenders. Do you use a box cutter, just plain razor blade, pocket knife, saw zall, jig saw, etc... Looking for the cleanest, smoothest cut on the rear. Im simply cuttin straight up the main fender curve on each side. Also is it safe to take an air sander and just slightly hit the edge to smooth it up? Thankx Justin Edited June 12, 2007 by allstarbanshee Quote
06BaNsHeE Posted June 12, 2007 Report Posted June 12, 2007 I cut mine with a mini saw I got when I was about 4-5 years old lol then I sanded the edges down and it looks like if I took it to a professional or something.Of course I wasnt so sobber tho but it came out nice Quote
nunyabinness Posted June 12, 2007 Report Posted June 12, 2007 i used a utilty knife to cut my fenders it worked pretty good. it doesn't make as much of a mess as the other methods i have tried. Quote

Bansh88 Posted June 13, 2007 Report Posted June 13, 2007 A hacksaw works really well too. Especially for straight lines. Quote
allstarbanshee Posted June 13, 2007 Author Report Posted June 13, 2007 hey luckily I just shaved the day before lol but... I did have a fairly loose fitting watch on, have a piece fall behind the band then moved my wrist and smash it into my skin that really burns. Quote
96_banshee_96 Posted June 14, 2007 Report Posted June 14, 2007 Yes this is what I have been looking for. I like the way these fenders look. I think I will give mine a shave tomorrow  Quote
ClimbAnyHill Posted June 14, 2007 Report Posted June 14, 2007 I used the utility knife on the front fenders.. I like theshee's finished product  Quote
theshee Posted June 14, 2007 Report Posted June 14, 2007 Here they are after some paint... I ran them on my cub for a weekend, then stretched the frame... Now they are on my wifes bike. Quote
96_banshee_96 Posted June 14, 2007 Report Posted June 14, 2007 Got any pics of them on your wifes bike? Quote
KaosBanshee44 Posted June 14, 2007 Report Posted June 14, 2007 A utility knife? I would never have believed that would work, i'm sure you had to put some muscle into it. I used a drimel and sanded it down when i shaved mine. Then airhose the bike when i was done. Quote
