5150banshee Posted June 4, 2007 Report Posted June 4, 2007 Okay so we hit pismo this past weekend and i heard a noise in the tranny when i have it in neutral only the noise is not there when it under a load.i talked to my shop that sponcers me and they said that its the idle gear and not to worry that all banshee's make that noise.but i have had my bike for 2 1/2 years and it just started to do that when i threw the 410 kit w 4mil stroker crank in it.any one else ever heard of that or in the same boat i am.(sorry for the spelling im in a huge rush to the office and late to much drinking last night =) Quote

It's really not something that you should ignore, unless you want to replace a lot of parts in the bottom end. I replaced mine, because the idler gear had a lot of side to side play in it, and it was making quite a bit of noise. PM Fastoys on here, and talk to him. Quote

fastbanshee8 Posted June 5, 2007 Report Posted June 5, 2007 I went through the same thing with mine. The bushing are a press in fit, and I used a c-clamp, and socket to remove the old one, and push the new one back in. Get a new c-clip, and clutch cover gasket also. Quote
