Bansh-eman Posted May 24, 2007 Report Posted May 24, 2007 what are you being charged to rebuild it and put long rods on there? you can get a hotrods 4mil crank for 400 bucks Quote
banshee(911) Posted May 24, 2007 Author Report Posted May 24, 2007 im not sure it needs rods yet kinda hope not but ive already bought the bearings Quote
banshee(911) Posted May 24, 2007 Author Report Posted May 24, 2007 ok heres what happend i just bought the crank and got in some sand i guess cause i posted there was a noise and tore it down posted it n got some remarks that it was the clutch basket so i went n had my basket rebuilt put it back together and still the noise so i tore it appart again and this time i spun the bearings just messin arround and herd some sand in it so i cleand the bearings with break cleaner oiled it put it back together and the noise got louder well got new bearings n hope its them seems so since the noise got louder but now i got all this money in the banshee just my luck it will b the connecting rods Quote
Wallrat Posted May 24, 2007 Report Posted May 24, 2007 Stock cranks aren't 100% rebuildable so reliability-wise, you'd actually be better off going with a new aftermarket crank. Quote
banshee(911) Posted May 24, 2007 Author Report Posted May 24, 2007 i just bought this vitos 4 mill stroker with stock length rods and then got in the sand with it i guess so instead of getting another new crank thought i could rebuild this one cheaper Quote
