casper Posted May 23, 2007 Report Posted May 23, 2007 Looking to replace my lights on the Bud shee with some FAT PIAAs or something like that so I can see at night. I have a 200w stator already, is there anything else I need? I looked online at Rocky MT and other places but did not see anything that would work. Thanks, Quote
KaosBanshee44 Posted May 23, 2007 Report Posted May 23, 2007 Well i can't answer your question but speaking of lights it reminded me that i gotta find out where i can get some headlight connectors. the headlights are totally different than the connectors on my bike and i don't wanna hotwire them incase i wanna take them off for any purpose. Anybody know where i can get the right connectors? Quote
Leadfoot350 Posted May 23, 2007 Report Posted May 23, 2007 if they are for a mr16 bulb then you can go to a lamp store or lighting store. Look them up in the yellow pages. Quote
Wallrat Posted May 23, 2007 Report Posted May 23, 2007 You can use any type of connectors you want. Pick some up at home depot, ace, etc. Everything else should be fine. Quote
Snopczynski Posted May 23, 2007 Report Posted May 23, 2007 Trail tech sells mr16 connectors on their site, I have never seen just connectors for sale at the hardware store and I have looked for them. As for big lights Ricky Stator sells a hella duner kit on his site. Quote
KaosBanshee44 Posted May 24, 2007 Report Posted May 24, 2007 Sweet thanks i'll have to check it out, i'm sure i'll have to re-wire the light in itself and change the connector that is on the bike. I need to get that done though. Quote
EastCoast Banshee Posted May 24, 2007 Report Posted May 24, 2007 You shouldn't need anything else since you already have the stator. Im pretty sure you should be able to run PIAAs or Hella's at 55w each and remount your trail techs to another spot and run 35s in those. With that setup you should have more light than you know what to do with. Quote
Snopczynski Posted May 24, 2007 Report Posted May 24, 2007 I wouldn't run more than the 2 55watt halogens unless you get led bulbs for the trail tech lights. My bike with rs 200 watt and heavy magnet rs flywheel doesn't really get bright until high rpms with 2 75 watt bulbs in the mr16's. I downgraded to two 50 watt bulbs. Quote
xLastShotx Posted May 24, 2007 Report Posted May 24, 2007 I have always liked these two http://www.rickystator.com/catalog/product...products_id=311 http://www.rickystator.com/catalog/product...products_id=298 Big and bright. You may also want to get a a new voltage regulator to be on the safe side, one such as this. http://www.rickystator.com/catalog/product...;products_id=85 Quote
ClimbAnyHill Posted May 24, 2007 Report Posted May 24, 2007 Theres a thread going on right now for Fullbore plastics. Look at the white/red banshee. It has trail techs on the bars and some on the front of the frame pointing downward. I like that set up.. this way you can immediatly see down the backside of a dune when riding the crest. Full moon night riding at Pismo is the shit!! Quote
casper Posted May 24, 2007 Author Report Posted May 24, 2007 Thanks for the replies guys, I have 4 new trail tech lights on her now, but I want to put those on my wifes shee and put some huge lights on the Bud shee. Quote
