. Posted May 19, 2007 Report Posted May 19, 2007 Gonna be getting a new set of a-arms soon and looking at quicksand. I know heim's are better than balljoints, but I ride in coal soot, and lots of muddy conditions and the boot on the balljoint is a nice thing to have. How do the heim's hold up to the mud? Quote
flyhighprerunner Posted May 19, 2007 Report Posted May 19, 2007 i have heims on my bike, they are teflon lined to help keep dirt sand grime out they were a little bit more but a let better in the long run i just pressure wash them out everytime and spray wd-40 in there after each ride..... Quote
FireHead Posted May 19, 2007 Report Posted May 19, 2007 In most cases a quality heim will last as long as a quality ball joint assuming that they are properly sized for the application. :geek: Quote

FireHead Posted May 20, 2007 Report Posted May 20, 2007 I was looking at the quicksand a-arms. Do they come teflon lined, how well you think they'll hold up? I think the Quicksand arms are porbably some of the best out there for the money. I would ask what the Aurora part number of the heims is that they are using. I have seen a wide variety of joints used on their arms in the past. :geek: Quote
