mulisha88 Posted May 14, 2007 Report Posted May 14, 2007 Im looking to change the ratio of my sprockets. When i was looking for the rear i noticed that theyre are different part numbers for the 87/88 years and 89-07 years. I know the fronts are the same, but whats the difference in the rear? The reason i ask theyre are more of a selection in the 89 and up years. Thanks Quote
KaosBanshee44 Posted May 14, 2007 Report Posted May 14, 2007 Where are you looking for sprockets at? I just changed my whole setup front and rear sprockets. You looking to get Renthal or what? Quote
mulisha88 Posted May 14, 2007 Author Report Posted May 14, 2007 I was looking in my Rocky M. book and Renthal and Primary drive list different #'s between the 87/88 and 89-07. Another thing i noticed is they only make alluminum for the 89-07. Mine is an 87 thats why im asking. Quote

Your sprocket hub is only a 4 bolt on your 87, Im not sure what year they changed but the newer ones are are 6 bolt. Quote

KaosBanshee44 Posted May 14, 2007 Report Posted May 14, 2007 I was gonna tell you that you can go to the Renthal Site and look at ratio options, and part numbers etc. when ordering sprocket, chains, etc. That may help you out too. Quote
