Madmaxx Posted April 6, 2007 Report Posted April 6, 2007 Hey guys. This is my first post!!! yay.... I am extatic Well, I have been trading bikes with a friend of mine for a while. I got him a bunch of motorcycle parts and I got a honda cb500 chopper and 2 350 hondas. Well.... I went over to his house and told him I had some RC cars that I wouldn't mind trading. He said "well, I got this banshee in my other garage...." "Ok... let me see it" We look at it and the motor has been pulled, but everything else is there. Stock air box, carbs, plastics, etc. So I say ok... ya wanna trade? He says sure!!! So I traded a Nitro TC3 with a Novarossi motor (real fast on road car) and my T-maxx that was stuck in second gear and was ready for a rebuild. I think I did OK. I haven't played with my RC stuff in years and have been planning on trading or selling them. I almost bought a couple 4-wheelers in the past like a 200 blaster and stuff, but the price was too high for a "little" 200cc. A bit about myself: I work at a motorcycle shop and have since I was a wee pup. I own 12 motorcycles. All of them are classic examples of vintage japanese street bikes. I have 4 Kawasaki triples, a couple honda 750 cafe racers, and a bunch of other cool old bikes. This will be my first (non-car) vehicle with more than 2 wheels. I have ridden MANY 3 and 4 wheelers, but never had the chance until now to own one. So now I am on a quest for a solid used motor for a decent price... Sorry guys. I am on a budget. I was hoping $500 would be good. Looks like most of the ones on here are about 800+. I will keep an open eye. Later!!! Madmaxx Quote
Duner440 Posted April 6, 2007 Report Posted April 6, 2007 Welcome to the HQ! Keep your eyes on the for sale forum for a motor. You will probably not get one that runs for $500 but motors seem to be on there quite often. Also, you might think about buying another bike for $1500 - $2000 and keep the motor and part out the rest to make some of your money back. Good luck. Quote
