ClimbAnyHill Posted April 3, 2007 Report Posted April 3, 2007 My hangers were starting to come loose so I did a little mod on them to keep them functional. Simply drill pressed right thru them & added a couple stainless steel screws to the hangers. It adds life to the hangers instead of buying new ones + I like the look. Quote
letsgetthisdone Posted April 3, 2007 Report Posted April 3, 2007 SWEET, now i don't have to buy new ones, thanx man. Quote
fastrthnu Posted April 3, 2007 Report Posted April 3, 2007 Yea I did that to one of mine aways back for a temp fix. I just went and bought some 1 piece ones. Those do look cool though. Quote
SoCalinIt Posted April 3, 2007 Report Posted April 3, 2007 Good job man! Great idea! Looks a little blingish too! Quote
dajogejr Posted April 3, 2007 Report Posted April 3, 2007 Yeah, same happened on mine. I just got Chrome hangers from Ellison.... Quote
CadillacBanshee Posted April 4, 2007 Report Posted April 4, 2007 HAHA, i did the same thing to mine. but with some self drilling screws. First time one broke i tied my pipes up with wire and i got clowned all week. Quote
r/atvshee Posted April 4, 2007 Report Posted April 4, 2007 nice. Now just polish them up  Quote
ClimbAnyHill Posted April 5, 2007 Author Report Posted April 5, 2007 I knew I had to get some new ones but don't want to spend on some bling bling hangers. I hardly have bling on the bike & would look ridiculous with billet or polished hangers on black pipes. This will do for now, glad yall liked em though. Thanks for the feedback. Quote
Shee-Male Posted April 5, 2007 Report Posted April 5, 2007 I've done the same thing years back, got the info from BenBB, I got a set of billit ones and all they were was 1/4" aluminum with a hole on either end and 3/8" aluminum spacer and a couple bolts , I've since made a set with very little effort, time, or money Quote
