. Posted March 22, 2007 Report Posted March 22, 2007 I'd say you'd have depending on portwork and how it flows somewhere around 70 or so. I have more of a trail port with some top end scream added to it and my builder using 30mm carbs and shearer inframes pulled 68 hp with the setup. I'd say you have more than 60 definitely. I know just with my LRD pipes and a filter on a stock shee they will produce 9hp above stock and you'll have a peak of 18 hp at a certain rpm. Considering stock is 35-37, your looking at 55 for a peak hp number. Just food for thought Quote
yamaha04 Posted March 22, 2007 Report Posted March 22, 2007 hm the dirtwheels i was reading the other day said the stock banhsee in 1987 had 48 hp probably a lie just though i would put it out there Quote

I have a buddy that is pretty well educated on Banshees and he and I agrued just that.. he said they are throwin down 48 and I claimed 38.. Everything I have ever seen has said banshees were 38, 660 raptor 42, and YFZ 45.. RIPPEN Quote
theshee Posted March 22, 2007 Report Posted March 22, 2007 Thats what Ive always heard, 38hp on a stock shee. Quote
BansheeRider71 Posted March 22, 2007 Report Posted March 22, 2007 I remember seeing that in an issue that had the older tests as an anniversary, but I have it where they did a shootout between the banshee, raptor & YFZ and it says YFZ 40HP, Banshee 38HP, Raptor 35HP, Dude your white 06 is nice, it should have 65HP to 68HP just guessing, I also have the issue back from 02 when they tested Mission Yamaha's modded Shee with aggressive dune port, T5's , K&N pods, and tors removed , new top-end, I think thats it an they had 58HP Quote
Animalman294 Posted March 22, 2007 Report Posted March 22, 2007 Yeah, I remember reading somewhere where it said that the shee put out 38 ponies, because I thought to myself, well thats great my shee puts out a little over 7 times the amount of power that my Honda pressure washer does................ White06Shee Posted March 22, 2007 Author Report Posted March 22, 2007 Thanks Guys Yeah I Was Just Wondering About The H.P. On It, I Kinda Figured In The 60's But At The Same Time Didnt KNow, And I Asked My Builder About My Port Job And He Said Its Border Line PLay Dune Port And Drag Port Quote
dajogejr Posted March 22, 2007 Report Posted March 22, 2007 The dirtwheels article probably means HP at the crank...otherwise it's off. Stock they are low to mid 30s. With all the bolt ons, 45ish... I'd say you're probably 65 to 70...as said, depending on how good your porting is. Quote
