2004LEBanshee Posted March 8, 2007 Report Posted March 8, 2007 The stock crank has tabs on the barrings and the new stroker crank doesn't do I have to do anything to the new crank or does it not need them and just drop it in? also do you guys use any yamabond or anything on the out side rim of seals that touches the case? need input never done this before. oh yeah why does the new crank have seals in the middle of it do they get lubed anything? I have a clymer but doesn't cover these cranks. Thanks Quote
Bansh-eman Posted March 8, 2007 Report Posted March 8, 2007 you dont have to change anything... just drop the new crank in.. make suure you have one half of each keeper or c cliip on top and bottom... also pour some pre mix oil into the webs before you put it in and spin the rods a few times... use yamabond.. but its nopt only on the outside edges its all of the mating surface... anywhere metal touch put some on it... and you do top and bottom not just one... but do go over board with it... 2004LEBanshee Posted March 8, 2007 Author Report Posted March 8, 2007 I have one on the trany on the drive sprocket one small one on the clutch side on same trany shaft and one big one on the clutch side of the crank. So a total of three but that is only one bearing keeper for the crank. Is that correct not sure what your saying. Quote
