7818nick Posted February 23, 2007 Report Posted February 23, 2007 i have a 99' banshee i need to get the rear axel out to replace the bearings. how do i get it out? all that is left on it is the brake disc and it wont slide out. Quote
olmick Posted February 23, 2007 Report Posted February 23, 2007 take the brake disk off, then grab some pb blaster, a 2x4, and the largest sledgehammer you can find, i put a hub on so i wouldnt damage the axle and started beating, it will took some muscle to get it out because the bearings were busted and had the axle jammed in the carrier, then it took a torch to get the bearings on the other side off, but just be patient, it took me and a buddy around 3hrs to get it off and put it back together :: Quote
