BumpaD_Z28 Posted February 15, 2007 Report Posted February 15, 2007 Well I'm new to the Banshee world but pretty good at wiring.. on mine black was ground, yellow was high beam and green was low beam... Also have you seen this: http://www.dfn.com/benkaren/elecfaq.html ~DaVe Quote
FireHead Posted February 15, 2007 Report Posted February 15, 2007 been tryin to wire in this switch cut it off behind the plug for length anyone kno which is ground-low beam-off none of my diagrams line up for sum reason for the light switch Yellow with a red stripe is the power wire. Black should be the ground. I think the wire color to the lights may have changed a couple times through the years. You should get a Clymer manual to be sure. Otherwise get a DVOM and check wich wire go there in Ohm/alarm mode. Quote
FasterThanU90 Posted February 15, 2007 Author Report Posted February 15, 2007 ya i have a stack of clymers they just dont go into much detail .. Quote
FireHead Posted February 15, 2007 Report Posted February 15, 2007 The Clymer manual I have contains the wiring diagrams and colors for all the years of the Banshee. I am pretty sure it has what you need, but if not, I will have a look in mine before I go to work in the morning. Quote
3 Posted February 15, 2007 Report Posted February 15, 2007 The green wire is the low beam power, and the yellow/red is the hi beam power. And has mentioned earlier black is always ground. Quote
FireHead Posted February 15, 2007 Report Posted February 15, 2007 (edited) The green wire is the low beam power, and the yellow/red is the hi beam power. And has mentioned earlier black is always ground. That's right, I forgot the high and low beam power came from different poles on the stator. I only used the yellow with the red stripe in the last OEM harness that I had. It just goes to show you that I have a memory of a two year old. Edited February 15, 2007 by FireHead Quote
FasterThanU90 Posted February 16, 2007 Author Report Posted February 16, 2007 no neither of the black is the ground for the lights they ground out in the back. Shows theres a ground off the kill switch which is the Black and B/w, its hard cuz i cant leave the bike running so i have to keep switching wires and startin it up i think i have it figured out that color diagram helped Quote
Snopczynski Posted February 16, 2007 Report Posted February 16, 2007 The lights and all the kill switches share the same ground circuit wire throughout the bike, the lights are just connected into it further up front. There is a ground in the kill switch because the switch when activated shorts to ground so the bike will not run. Quote
3 Posted February 17, 2007 Report Posted February 17, 2007 Thats right, one ground from one end to the other ends. Everything connect to it at a different point. FasterthanU90, i just strip off my wiring arness and get rid of everything usless a mounth ago so if you need help just ask. PM if i dont answer here. Quote
