theshee Posted February 9, 2007 Report Posted February 9, 2007 Pipes, and taking the airbox off and getting some pod filters would be a good start. Easy too. Quote
06BaNsHeE Posted February 9, 2007 Report Posted February 9, 2007 Pipes,Reeds,Sprockets,Filters.Or you can take your shit to pedro and spend 3-4 gs and end up with a monter.99Performance Quote
scooter Posted February 9, 2007 Report Posted February 9, 2007 pipes and air filter for sure. the list goes on from there. get some decent pipes and decide what you want for the air intake thats the first thing to do let it breath. Quote
csrmel Posted February 9, 2007 Report Posted February 9, 2007 before i answer the question, you have to tell us what kind of riding you do, and how agressive of a rider you are. do you want more top end power, midrange, low end, or all of the abive? more mx, sand, drag racing? etc etc... Quote
Snopczynski Posted February 9, 2007 Report Posted February 9, 2007 What kind of riding do you mostly do? Quote
DADEBOYRACER101 Posted February 13, 2007 Author Report Posted February 13, 2007 but if i change the sprocket it wont work right it probly bog out Quote
DADEBOYRACER101 Posted February 13, 2007 Author Report Posted February 13, 2007 im trying to get more top end Quote
06BaNsHeE Posted February 14, 2007 Report Posted February 14, 2007 Sprockets can be for top-end or low end.If you want top get 15 or a 16.Less shifting  .Top end pipes go with CPIs.If your going to 99 performance get sheareres because Pedro loves shearers and "MATCHES" the port job to the pipes. dajogejr Posted February 15, 2007 Report Posted February 15, 2007 And they are correct. Get the bolt ons done first. Pipes, jetted, opened up air box, milled head, timing advance, lightened flywheel. Without the proper HP to pull that tall of gearing...it will be pointless. Yeah, it might eventually pull it, but...doubt it...and the time it takes you to get there will seem like forever. Now...get some strong porting done....WHOLE new ball game. But, you said without tearing the motor apart...so, with just bolt ons you can probably go from 33 to 35 HP stock to about 45ish....still not going to pull that tall of gearing all that well. Quote
06BaNsHeE Posted February 15, 2007 Report Posted February 15, 2007 17???Thats way to big.Change your sprocket to a 16 once you get it ported. My bike Pulls a 16/39 with shearer pipes just fine. Quote
