theshee Posted January 29, 2007 Report Posted January 29, 2007 If you can afford new ones go that route... if you want to, patch it, then tube the tire if you just want to use it for a while. I dont think I would use that as a permanent solution, but you could ride on it like that for a while. Quote
yamaha04 Posted January 29, 2007 Report Posted January 29, 2007 um i would buy new. a machanice told me one time that when you tube a tire on a high hp bike they dont last long. i think he said they spin the tube or something cant really remeber can anyone chime in on this? Quote
ClimbAnyHill Posted January 29, 2007 Report Posted January 29, 2007 Because it's a slice like that.. just buy a new one but still see your local tire shop & have them patch it thru the inside & keep as a spare  Quote
theshee Posted January 29, 2007 Report Posted January 29, 2007 I would imagine thats true you could spin the tire on the rim and mess up your tube. I would get new, the tube idea was just a temporary solution until you could get new. Quote
SoCalinIt Posted January 29, 2007 Report Posted January 29, 2007 I'd most def get a new one... I'm sure it's a lot safer too! Quote

BansheeDan Posted January 29, 2007 Report Posted January 29, 2007 thanks guy getting new one just deciding whch ones i worked in a tire shop for many years.....high hp atvs will sipin the rim inside the tire causing the valve stem of the tube to shear off......ive seen it a million times do yourself a favor and do like you said and get a new tire Dan Quote
Animalman294 Posted January 29, 2007 Report Posted January 29, 2007 I would get a new tire for the rear.............. If it was on the front I would be tempted to go the tube route, only because the tire wont have the tendency to spin like it would on the back............. But that is what I would do if it were mine................. Quote
