theshee Posted January 29, 2007 Report Posted January 29, 2007 Check out my seat cover I got put on. It is a gripper, got it on ebay for like 20 bucks. It is nice, and I wont be sliding all over the place on it. Before.. After... Quote
ClimbAnyHill Posted January 29, 2007 Report Posted January 29, 2007 (edited) It looks very good, clean & smooth! I like that alot & want one for me. Who makes it? How did you apply the cover, staples/screws? Edited January 29, 2007 by Climb Any Hill You Point At!! Quote
zboy Posted January 29, 2007 Report Posted January 29, 2007 http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Yamaha-Blas...ZWDVWQQtcZphoto did it come from these guys cause ive been debating on getting one Quote
theshee Posted January 29, 2007 Author Report Posted January 29, 2007 I just streched it really hard and stapled it on there. It was a little tough to get it nice and tight but, I finally got it how I liked it. Here is a pretty cheap one... just like mine... Ebay Seat Cover Link Quote
ClimbAnyHill Posted January 29, 2007 Report Posted January 29, 2007 Not a bad price at all, thanks for the link.. Yeah you put it on there pretty good, I've seen many covers not placed on right & look saggy. Quote
theshee Posted January 29, 2007 Author Report Posted January 29, 2007 If you get one when you are putting it on, just go down the sides even. Do like 4 inches on one side, then the other, and so forth. I just streched the hell out of it to make it look that way. Quote
RIPPEN Posted January 29, 2007 Report Posted January 29, 2007 Nice man, thats similar to what I got on mine.. A local shop did it for like 50 bucks with just the plain black gripper material.. It turned out nice and they even stiched in the same places where the stocker was.. Its been on for over 2 seasons of HARD riding and still looks great.. Good choice on going with the gripper as it not only looks good but is nice in keeping your from sliding all over.. RIPPEN Quote
nomad Posted January 29, 2007 Report Posted January 29, 2007 I have the same one. You did a good job putting it on. Quote
Animalman294 Posted January 30, 2007 Report Posted January 30, 2007 Yeah, that turned out really good man................. Quote
korndawg Posted January 30, 2007 Report Posted January 30, 2007 One tip I've always used for putting seat cover on, is to throw it in the dryer on low heat for a few minutes to warm it up a little, and make it easier to work with. Quote
