putting 06 450 shocks on banshee

Trying to put some 06 bill balance shocks off a 450 on a banshee and ran into a snag. They just don't want to fit, are the 06 shocks a different length, then 04-05's??? I know I need to do a little grinding, but they just don't want to fit at all. Anyone tried these before?

i have '06s too. i didnt know that they were longer. oh well more travel with the new combo!

can anyone clarify forsure what years work and what years are longer/shorter. i find it hard to belive that yamaha changed them but i may be wrong.

It is actually a buddy of mine. He is trying to put them on stock a-arms, and said they would't even come close to being the right length??? Are the 04's the only shock that work with stock a-arms? Also they are off a bill balance edition 450, I have just talked to him on the phone, so I don't know much. I just figured that someone on here as used some 06 shocks before and might of had some insight.

I had 06 450 shocks on my girlfriends Banshee with stock a-arms... they fit just fine after doing the mods listed in the pinned thread for "How to install 450 shocks"
