Hey, what's up? I was wondering if anyone here could run a VIN number for me. I cam across a Banshee that has been sitting for a while, but it's kind of a sketchy deal. The guy said he has no title for it, and it hasnt run in a long time. The price is OK by east coast standards. I used to have a buddy that was a cop, and he ran the VIN on the last 2 I bought, but he moved to upstate NY.

If anyone could help me out it would be appreciated. DMV was none too helpful when I called up this afternoon. As always thanks guys!

in new york atv's and dirtbike dont have titles but they do have transferable registrations , you have to have some thing to prove its yours

Yeah, ask the police station to run it.. Just say you saw a flyer for it or something...

A Bill of Sale from the owner to you would keep your hands clean. Just grab the form from the DMV & you both fill out & sign.

my old lady found a site that i checked mine on. i will see if she can find it again. I dont know if it verys from state to state.

there use to be a site called STOLENVIN dot com but what a lot of people didnt know was, the only way the VIN would show up hot is if the person who had it stolen posted the VIN on that site as stolen. A lot of people use to base their VINS off that site and always figured it was clear cause it came back clean. A lot of the Check VIN sites are like that.
