boggs Posted November 24, 2006 Report Posted November 24, 2006 whats the best exhaust for woods riding looking for low end power Quote
csrmel Posted November 24, 2006 Report Posted November 24, 2006 to be honest with you ive seen enough internet dyno charts that i would recomend the stock pipes. everything else seems to just raise the rpm at which the pipe works. Quote
NY350twin Posted November 24, 2006 Report Posted November 24, 2006 (edited) I do alot of trail riding and I just put on a set of pt mids and i love them. I like riding them better than the t5's but some people will disagree. I would def. buy them. The stock pipes suck for lowend so I would def. upgrade up first to the pt mids, Second fmf gnarlys or sst's, then I would get the t5's as far as trail riding. The best way would be if you have a friend with any of these pipes, ride it and see how you like them. Edited November 24, 2006 by NY350twin Quote
06BaNsHeE Posted November 24, 2006 Report Posted November 24, 2006 If you are all bone stock go with a set of shears or cpis.No lol I think t6s work awesome I dont have them but my bro does and he has a shit load of low end. Quote
sredish Posted November 24, 2006 Report Posted November 24, 2006 PT Mids or DMC 2-1 pipes. Tthe DMC 2-1 pipes for true woods pipes and they're cheaper and easier to find on ebay. at least they used to be. Quote
nomad Posted November 25, 2006 Report Posted November 25, 2006 Most of my riding is tight woods (1st-3rd gear, 4th on a "straight") and I run an FMF Gnarly with no complaints. It's the only system I've run, so I can't compare to any others. Quote
cbn70 Posted November 25, 2006 Report Posted November 25, 2006 I have ran diferent pipes and the ones that I like the best for trail riding are the FMF Knarly pipes. Quote
3 Posted November 25, 2006 Report Posted November 25, 2006 I run T6 and lot of trails and i like them, maybe not as much low end as the DMC or PT but you can always use more top end for sand pit and open trails. IMO i think T6 are really good all around pipes and good for trails too. Quote

I was almost like...WTF is this guy talking about...whew....glad I read the whole thing...LOL. I rode an 02 bone stock except for a motofast 2 into one and a shaved head. It was fun, if you don't mind short shifting....to me, it takes away...rather changes the whole nature of the banshee though. If you're only gonna trail ride, you're still better off with a 4 poke... Aaron.D Posted November 26, 2006 Report Posted November 26, 2006 See a lot of PT's In The woods. Guys must like em. Never here to many people go crazy about them. The stock are just to dam small. They don't open up your shee, They just take the engine power and cage it up. I run T6's Believe it or not, love them taken them off at night and sleep with them sometimes. Not likely but Wet trail riding is best done with the stock air box and some provided uni vents. Order a few xtra sets of uni vents for more air flow. The jetting and a K&N and mount and the shee will rock. I run Open air but it sucks in the water. Have fun keep us in the loop. Aaron D. :ninja: Quote
djackbanshee Posted November 26, 2006 Report Posted November 26, 2006 Pt mids Big lack of high rev compared to t-5s , but just so muchmore torque. Id go with 2-1 setup first ! Quote
