bigfox Posted November 23, 2006 Report Posted November 23, 2006 Can anyone tell me what a good compression reading is? I have a 1997, and am trying to tell if it's good or not before selling for a newer one. Quote

bigfox Posted November 23, 2006 Author Report Posted November 23, 2006 130psi for a stock head and pistons Thanks for the help!! But I just checked it and I'm at 105-110 even in each. How bad is this? I bought this quad used, so it may have had a top end re-build. How low can it go until failure? Quote
Satsol67 Posted November 23, 2006 Report Posted November 23, 2006 As long as you are above 100 you are good, but they need to be within 10% of each other. Anything under 100 and not between 10% between the 2 is time for a new top end. Quote
