kubiac3 Posted November 22, 2006 Report Posted November 22, 2006 Ok, after i let the bike warm up at an idle with a few small revs here and there and i take off and give it a good dose of throttle it is really sluggish, doesnt bog, just breaks up and runs poor. Everytime after that it runs perfect, just the first time hittin the throttle good. I was thinkin it was just loading up from idleing when warming up. What you guys think? If im right, this means my air screws need to be adjusted correct? Or main jets? I have the air screws at about 1.5 turns out with 27.5 pilots. My mods are in the sig. Thanks. Quote
BANSHEEMANIAC Posted November 22, 2006 Report Posted November 22, 2006 sounds like your airscwews are adjusted on the rich side. Quote
dajogejr Posted November 22, 2006 Report Posted November 22, 2006 Turn the air screws out to 2.0, then 2.5. If you have to go to 2.5 to clean it up, put the stock 25 pilots back in and start at .5 turns out. Try this, also...blip the throttle as you warm it up...every 3 to 5 seconds. It helps keep plugs from loading up....and, circulates water quicker. Note, I said BLIP...not hold her to the wood.. Quote

Usually it means that the machine hasn't fully warmed up. Every 2 stroke that i've rode did that. I just granny shift and take it easy till she warms the rest of the way up. Quote

NY350twin Posted November 22, 2006 Report Posted November 22, 2006 What your are describing is totaly normal. 2 and 4 strokes alike , As long as it performes good after you have warmed it up you probrably don't have a problem. The reason it does that because you are putting load on the engine which makes it hesitate from a cold start. Quote
06BaNsHeE Posted November 22, 2006 Report Posted November 22, 2006 Mine when it was completely stock never did that.I would always warm it for like 4-5 minutes nd tap the throtle like every 15-20 seconds.Ever since I put pipes it does it only the first ride up nd down after warming it up.Im goign to warm it up by tapping the throttle every 3-4 seconds nd see if that helps from now on.
