4strokessuck Posted November 8, 2006 Report Posted November 8, 2006 Most of your exhaust questions answered here. Weird how the stock exhaust compares! Wonder how everything changes when you add other bolt-ons? http://www.angelfire.com/extreme2/yambansh...s/pipeinfo.html http://www2.freepichosting.com/Images/421536787/9.jpg http://www.bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=21229 This should be in the FAQ section. Don't yell at me if it is. I didn't check yet. Quote
AirForceRulz Posted November 10, 2006 Report Posted November 10, 2006 [WoW I have never seen a chart quite like that 1. I mean every pipe on that chart gave like a 3 to 6 hp gain over stock . Amazing, Actually there was ac ouple of pipes that say they are quieter than stock. I did not know that was possible. But maybe thats a super stock banshee with blue powerbands. Quote
smokin 2 stroke Posted November 10, 2006 Report Posted November 10, 2006 did the graphs for trinty pipes show up 4 u guys no pic was there 4 me Quote
4strokessuck Posted November 10, 2006 Author Report Posted November 10, 2006 Try the third link. Scroll down a bit. It's the second graph. Quote
RNBRAD Posted November 10, 2006 Report Posted November 10, 2006 Just remember those are on stock bikes. Add some porting and other mods and a different pipe will produce a better curve. Quote
Polish Posted November 10, 2006 Report Posted November 10, 2006 good post! I didnt know that this was out there!!............good for people with stock applications  Quote
csrmel Posted November 10, 2006 Report Posted November 10, 2006 funny how the stock pipes have more low end than most of the aftermarkets. Quote
Fre530d Posted November 10, 2006 Report Posted November 10, 2006 Try the third link. Scroll down a bit. It's the second graph. Are those the trinity stage 4 pipes or some older model ? Thx Fred Quote
Shee-Male Posted November 10, 2006 Report Posted November 10, 2006 The Tommey graph is so lame, WTF? Quote
ToomeySheeLE Posted November 10, 2006 Report Posted November 10, 2006 I think some of those graphs are pretty out to lunch.. especially the first ones I always though stock banshees put out around 35 horsepower.. not in the 45-50hp range. If your deciding on pipes it would be wise to contact a builder or do a search on here.. sure the hell dont buy pipes according to those graphs... Alot of the ones at that one page aren't even produced anymore........ Quote

majicmike Posted April 19, 2007 Report Posted April 19, 2007 I would say the 2nd chart is not a good one...........Its clear someone ported those cylinders and thats what that port job liked.I think pipe comparisons should be done on a completly stock motor unless it is a drag pipe and then the they should be done motor by motor. fox_forma Posted April 20, 2007 Report Posted April 20, 2007 wow thats the first time I found any type of info on my greydon prolines, if the number is somewhat accurate I made a pretty good choice. Quote
HardIzZlE Posted April 20, 2007 Report Posted April 20, 2007 in the first link my pipes win (i luv pro circuit) & in the second they come in 3-4 Quote
jayzx10r Posted April 20, 2007 Report Posted April 20, 2007 (edited) I would say the 2nd chart is not a good one...........Its clear someone ported those cylinders and thats what that port job liked.I think pipe comparisons should be done on a completly stock motor unless it is a drag pipe and then the they should be done motor by motor. I was kinda kidding about the results favoring my chambers not so much from my own experience (I heve Fattys, but have never had anything else) but because most people slam them for poor quality and mediocre performance. But seriously...do you think these comparisons may be from a ported motor? That would make the findings a bit more relevent for me becaue my quad is ported and stroked. It also seems that most of the frequent posters here have ported/modded quads. Since I'm still kinda new here, does everyone agree with link #2 as far as Fattys being among the best on this graph? Do you believe this graph to be a true representation of performance? If so, I don't see a tremendous incentive for me to switch...But then again... My 'shee kicks ass and I have them...which makes me wonder that if it is this good with Fattys, how much better would it be with SSTs, T5s, or CPIs? 75% duner/25%dragger and I kinda like NOT burning my leg or swearing when I have to change a plug!! :yelrotflmao: Jay From SanDiego.
