OnlyA2Stroke Posted November 5, 2006 Report Posted November 5, 2006 I run 300 mains & 27.5 pilots with T5's, K&N filter w/ proflow adapter, & no lid. It seems like when I hit 6th gear, it isn't there like 1st - 5th. I can't shift into 6th if I am cruisin up a hill, cause it doesn't have the pull. It will bog down. Maybe jetted to high? Quote
okbeast Posted November 5, 2006 Report Posted November 5, 2006 You may not have the power to pull the gearing you have. I experience this in the sand b/c it robs so much power. Quote
baddsheee Posted November 5, 2006 Report Posted November 5, 2006 Run a plug chop. That will answer your question. Quote
dajogejr Posted November 5, 2006 Report Posted November 5, 2006 YOu can either gear it lower, (smaller up front or larger out rear)....or stay out of 6th on hills. With just a filter and pipes, 6th gear is a little tough to pull, add going up a hill.... You can probaby do some cheap mods to help pull it a bit better, timing plate and shaved head might help a little...but, 6th gear is steep on a shee.... I had all the bolt ons there are, and on my stock motor last year in sandy trails, it flat out wouldn't pull 6th hardly, and I know I was jetted spot on! Quote
