Kickstarter Rebuild kit

I have a kick starter and all I know is that it says GMS on it in. It rattles like a mug. The kits I see have a different screw than mine. Mine is an allen head and the others are phillips head. My bolt is not threaded all the way like the one I see. Tech at Cascade says it might not work.

 

Any advice?

I heard mixed things about the rebuild kits- they start to rattle just like the stocker after awhile-

there was a good write up on here on doing it yourself- with parts from the hardware store cost less than 10$ in parts from what i remember reading- I havent tried it yet but its on my list of thing to do-

rockymountainatv.com sells a kit for 10 bucks. i got one and it works great. no more rattle.
