3 Posted September 23, 2006 Author Report Posted September 23, 2006 the pipes have around 12 hours of riding. No packing?? i have to take a look at it. By the way is some body ever cut open these pipes?? they are so heavy its look like they are filed with something. Quote
Dinner Posted September 23, 2006 Report Posted September 23, 2006 The stock silencers? They have spark arrestor stuff in the front of them. All you have to do is take off the end cap's to see inside of them. Unless you are talking about something different than me  Quote
pipebomb Posted September 23, 2006 Report Posted September 23, 2006 stockers don't have packing. Quote

hollisatp Posted September 26, 2006 Report Posted September 26, 2006 Damn thats alot of effort to save maybe $5. So.. I had an issue trying to find sparka rrestors for mine. Can I use my stock pipes to get into a riding area requiring spark arrestors? How much will this change the performance of my shee.? Quote
3 Posted September 26, 2006 Author Report Posted September 26, 2006 No it's not a lot of effort, i was just asking before i take any tools to open it up  Quote
dajogejr Posted September 26, 2006 Report Posted September 26, 2006 I think it's a total waste of time. Get the ol Pink Panther Corning insulation....it works. Remove the paper, though... Quote

Depending on what kind of head pipes you have, it could change your performance by alot or just a small amount. Quote
