Hey, Was wondering how many of you are running or have run your own ported reed cages? I am thinking about maybe doing it to mine if the power is good and its fairly easy. I already have boyesen reeds.

Do you just grind away some of the cage away to make a bigger opening, or is there something else

If you remove the center divider and switch to a TDR reed (1 reed for top and 1 for bottom) it makes a pretty big differance, the complete set is about 50$.

If you want to use your peddals, PM me I have a set of ported ones with stock peddles you can have.

Could i just grind the two sides bigger and leave the middle divider in there by however much i grind down? Will this make it worse or as long as its bigger, it will help some to bring in air/fuel.

Thanks

PS Thanks for the offer Shee-Male, but im just going to grind them down probably

This topic has been covered a bit before, and a while back someone posted a pic or two that showed exactly what was removed. I have definitely heard that the TDR reeds and the ported cages are the only combo to look at for a ported cage. Like was said, you remove the center bridge, and lengthen the opening in the cage. As I recall there isn't a great deal of width to be gained. I would also plan to save for a set of VF3's, as I can vouch they made a noticeable difference.
