black sunshine Posted September 18, 2006 Report Posted September 18, 2006 My new 520 chain has about 5 hours on it. It seems to have stretched a bit during this time. I made it as short as possible when I installed it and tightened it to spec. It had gained some slack which I took out with the adjusters, but switched back to a 14t front from a 15t and now I have a slack ass chain that needs to stretch about 3/8" before I can take a link out. Is there anyone that sells half-links? Quote
trex banshee Posted September 18, 2006 Report Posted September 18, 2006 yes you can get half links, but not sure who sells them. Just go to DID.com or something. Not even sure if that is a website but its worth a shot. Also you could look at Rockymountainatv.com Quote
locogato11283 Posted September 18, 2006 Report Posted September 18, 2006 i dont think you can get a half link for it. even if you do i have heard they can be dangerous to use, not sure why. how about just putting on a one tooth bigger rear sprocket?? do u have stock swingarm? if so you can notch out the adjustment guides a little further. they are on the bottom where the bottom bolt goes thru. ive done that before on stockers. J-Madd Posted September 19, 2006 Report Posted September 19, 2006 I'm pretty sure I've used a half link in a 520 chain on a blaster years ago. But I've also heard bad things about using them. Quote
