nomad Posted September 2, 2006 Report Posted September 2, 2006 (edited) Even after I get my bike jetted correctly, I know it won't have the desired performance level I'm looking for. Can any1 suggest a shop in NJ, NY or PA that is reputable/knowledgable regarding Banshee performance upgrades (porting {woods}, trinity cub/cheetah, tuning, etc.)? I've gotten the bike to where I like the looks, but I'd like more bottom end to mid performance. Because I don't have a place to open her up on a continuous basis, top end isn't a high priority, although a few extra ponies are always nice to have. I've looked on the Trinity site and they offer a 400cc and 421cc motor kit; a 420cc BB kit, and stage II or MX port options :ermm: . Any suggestions on which would be best for my needs would be appreciated. Reliability is the highest priority. P.S.- already spoke with East Coast ATV and they said the work is farmedout to another shop, but I didn't get a name. Edited September 2, 2006 by nomad Quote
njbanshee Posted September 2, 2006 Report Posted September 2, 2006 Work at east coast is not farmed out. I drive from NJ all the way to PA just to have my bike worked on. I have nothing but good things to say about them. The owner Dave rides a sick drag banshee, so he knows how to set up the bike. Another good thing is when you buy parts he will buy your old parts off of you to lower the price. call 610-282-0369, ext 3. Dave will most likely answere but if not ask for him. Quote
nomad Posted September 2, 2006 Author Report Posted September 2, 2006 I didn't speak to Dave, but the guy who answered told me that their port work was was done by another local shop. I'll call back on Monday and ask for Dave. Thanks! Quote
nomad Posted September 2, 2006 Author Report Posted September 2, 2006 (edited) THANKS NJBANSHEE!!! I did speak with Dave just now, and while he said he has a guy that is a part-timer per say, and sometimes does his port work at another shop, Dave does the assembly and tuning. He's checking into some prices for me on cheetahs and maybe a cheetah 535 motor :baseball_w00t: which is already built and ready to install! I would've never thought to go that big, and I don't need a 100+ HP motor. It'd like it in the 70-80+ HP range which sounds wicked enough. The down side is I'd have to change my exhaust setup, which'll probably keep me outta the state forests, but I can live with that. He said I could trade my exhaust in and save me a couple duckets on the new system. I really appreciate the help! Edited September 4, 2006 by nomad Quote
