olmick Posted September 1, 2006 Report Posted September 1, 2006 Im thinking about milling my head, my mods will be pc pipes, air pods, and +4 timing, how much compression will be added? and how much more power will it make, im thinking about going .025 just for safe measures Quote
dajogejr Posted September 1, 2006 Report Posted September 1, 2006 .025 to .030...I'd be prepared to run a 50/50 mix of race and pump gas, if not 100% race gas. If you have a stock crank that has not been welded...I'd stick with .020...and measure your compression before and after.... Quote
00tbanshee Posted September 1, 2006 Report Posted September 1, 2006 i had one that was milled .035 and i had 155psi still ran pump gas and plus 7 timing ran fine and had no problems. Quote
dajogejr Posted September 2, 2006 Report Posted September 2, 2006 Precisely why I said measure compression before and after... Better safe than sorry...your mileage may vary... Quote
Shee-Male Posted September 2, 2006 Report Posted September 2, 2006 I milled mine .025, +4 advance and pump gas 32:1, stock motor, ran fine 2 years, until I did the RZ swap  Quote
