dajogejr Posted August 15, 2006 Report Posted August 15, 2006 Do a search...this has been covered. In a nutshell, you have a few choices. Use a spacerplate and 795 series wiseco pistons for the easy way... The right way to do this is have the cylinders bored if needed, the porting needs to be matched for the longer crank stroke, and the head has to be cut so the crown of the piston doesn't smack it... If you buy a Wiseco (Hot Rod) crank, have any reputable builder reweld the crank. The factory welds have known to go... Call Jeff @ FAST Racing....he'll hook you up. Quote
400ccStroker_shee Posted August 15, 2006 Report Posted August 15, 2006 what would i need for the complete intallation.I was wondering if i would need to replace pistons,re-bore ,modify my cases help guys and how much of a difference in performance would it show? go to google and search 400cc stroker kit, it should pop up with an alba kit, its awesome, it tells you everything you should do and have to run that kit, my buddy and I just finished putting his together and it was all pretty easy, no case mods required, if yu dont bore your stock cylinders with this kit it about a 375cc, if your going to put a stroker in you'll need new pistons, you should also get a pro design cool head and you have to get the domes cut to where the piston doesnt smack the top, you'll need new carbs i suggest 34 mm pj's or 35 mm pwk. v force 3 reeds, if you live in the san diego area, I could probably help you out. dajogejr Posted August 15, 2006 Report Posted August 15, 2006 What is your budget, and what kind of riding do you do? I'd bet you could get a stock bore, stock stroke cub motor and get your stock crank reworked for the same or less than that alba kit and probably have more power.... Quote
