mxturd Posted July 1, 2006 Report Posted July 1, 2006 How tight am I supposed to get the nut that holds the clutch adjuster in,,,I dont know what it is actually called but it is the nut that is holding the bolt that has the phillips top on it, just at the basket, when the pressure plate is off. I hope that this isnt to confuseing I just dont know what it is called. Thanks Quote
Rustbag Posted July 2, 2006 Report Posted July 2, 2006 (edited) Drain your fluid. Take off the clutch cover. Get out your 8mm and loosen it. With your hand move the little lever where your clutch cable connects near the crank case all the way forward. Now tighten the screw in the center of the basket untill the little notch on the tip of the lever lines up with the (protuberance) on the crank case. Tighten your 8mm lock washer back and make sure you adjust the slack out of the clutch cable up near your handlebars again. ] Edited July 2, 2006 by Rustbag Quote
