ThE_BaNsHeE_mAn88 Posted June 26, 2006 Report Posted June 26, 2006 ok i just got my motor back from being rebult and i started it up for the first time. and the laft side wont run consistant. it will pop ever once and a while and shoots oil and gas out. i dont think is fluded because i have put like 5 plugs in the one side. i adjusted the slides, they were in the wrong way at first but there in the right way now. so any help will be great thanks. BigRed350x Posted June 26, 2006 Report Posted June 26, 2006 Start switching stuff from one cylinder to the other and see if the problem jumps to the other cylinder. I would start with your coil wires. Sounds like you aren't getting good spark on that side. Then swap carbs, then reeds, yadda yadda yadda. Did you do a compression check after you got it back? Did you clean your carbs? Whats your jetting? Quote
BrockMoto Posted June 26, 2006 Report Posted June 26, 2006 If you know alot about top ends and its not too much trouble you should take the jugs off and make sure the rings were put on right in there grooves and and the right size for your cylinder... are you getting compresion on that side??? ThE_BaNsHeE_mAn88 Posted June 26, 2006 Author Report Posted June 26, 2006 (edited) i have a 210 main and i dont know what the others are. but when i first tryed to start it the right side didnt run so the slids were in backwards and then i switched them and then the left side stoped running so........ i dont know whats going on. but i brough the hole bike back to the bulder so he can figure it out.but any more help would be great. thanks.oh and is there susposed to be gas going through the choke tube????? ThE_BaNsHeE_mAn88 Posted June 27, 2006 Author Report Posted June 27, 2006 (edited) ok got my bike back again and it runs decent at higher rpms and when your going and let off the right side cuts out and then you get on it and it pops once and kicks back on. but at an idel the right side wont run at all. i have no idea because the guy put a crab off an 06 shee never used and its still doing it. :angry:the builder said he put alot of oil in the cylnders could that be th problem? could it just be loading up? and should i just run it to clean it out?
