paint job?

pretty sure conventional auto paint would just crack and flake off is there any sort of super flex paint i can use on this thing? I have a tear in the plastic and want to fix it but not if i cant paint. what about gel coat, i dont know much about it.

I think they use a flex additive like PolyFlex in the paint and adhesion promotor on the plastic.
