wildbansheeboy Posted April 25, 2006 Report Posted April 25, 2006 I got a adj.timing plate and a flywheel puller. How do I install the plate? Quote
sandgrencivic2k1 Posted April 25, 2006 Report Posted April 25, 2006 You need to use the flywheel puller to take the flywheel off. To take the flywheel off, remove the center bolt. Thread on the big part of the puller ALL THE WAY IN. Then spin it off with a impact gun. Once that is removed you need to remove the stator. You will see 3 screws holding it one, plus a couple smalle ones that hold the wires in place. Once it is out of the way there are another three bolts that hold the stock stator in place. Remove it and install the new one. The tic marks on the timing need to line up with the split in the case (white line). Then tighten it up and reinstall the stator. Put the fly wheel on and crank it down. All done. Quote
DIRTMAN350 Posted April 25, 2006 Report Posted April 25, 2006 One thing the flywheel puller is reverse threads. Don't try and thread it in like a normal bolt. Quote
