snowfoxsx Posted April 18, 2006 Report Posted April 18, 2006 my shee has porting by trinity, stock carbs, trinity pipes stage 4 pipes, 12/41 gearing, 340 main jets, stock pilets, stock needles, 150 comp. .060 bore, boysen reeds. temps around 75 degrees and 900 elevation. it starts first kick hot or cold, idles fine, bottom end is a little rough till powerband hits but seems to run and pull hard, no missing or backfire when i nail it. just in the upper reves it seems to spit and fart/backfire, i did a search and came up with it is too lean on the mains, does this sound right? this is my first shee so it is a learing time! i pulled out the choke in the upper reves and it seems to stop backfiring and the power drops off so let me know help a fellow rider out and loboboy, i lost your jetting specs you gave me for your pipes, so can i get them again? i think you said a 360 main? thanks Quote
bansheeseat$$ Posted April 18, 2006 Report Posted April 18, 2006 Defanetly sounds like your to lean,The reason you lost some power is because the choke circuit is way to rich to run properly. Quote

odaen Posted April 19, 2006 Report Posted April 19, 2006 does it pop and such in every gear, or just 5th and 6th? if it does it in every gear, bump your mains up 2 sizes, if it's only in 5th and 6th, bump it up 1 Quote
