mnduner Posted April 3, 2006 Report Posted April 3, 2006 im new bansh owner and im rebuilding frame up for pretty much dune riding only. questions: when installing a metal wp impeller what all needs to be replaced? bearings, seals etc. i want to start fresh so i will be getting the cylanders bored. it is stock bore, how big should i go? will i get much gain from going big or should i just go a little over thanks for any help Quote
Hilarious Posted April 3, 2006 Report Posted April 3, 2006 (edited) I believe you answered your own question about the impeller. You can go to bikebandit.com and they have schematics on just about everything so you can see what you need to replace. As for boring, I believe you dont want to bore out any more than you have to. If your cylinders arent worn too bad you could probably get by with just a hone. I'd get whomever is going to bore your jugs out to check the tolerances on em to see if they even need to be bored. joker149999 Posted April 10, 2006 Report Posted April 10, 2006 you won't gain a whole bunch from boring them out so. i agree just hone them out if possible or just go .20 thousand's Quote
Capone Posted April 10, 2006 Report Posted April 10, 2006 you're gains will be minimal from over-boring. Stick with the lowest bore, and save precious bores for if something goes wrong. Quote
