yamahakid1 Posted March 29, 2006 Report Posted March 29, 2006 the shifter wont shift up sometimes. you can go down to first, neutral, 2nd, 3ed, 4th but sometimes it wont get to 5th or 6th but other times it will. has this ever happened to anyone else? My banshee has some wierd shit going on since this rebuild dang. Quote

blueshee03 Posted March 29, 2006 Report Posted March 29, 2006 sounds like the shift shaft adjusting eccentric is out of adjustment or worn or both.could also be the shift shaft its self.if the spring on the end that hooks the pins on the shift drum is bad that will do it.might want to pull the clutch cover and check it out. If you rock the quad back and forth, or moving it would be better, it should shift fine. Just sitting stationary, it probably would be normal operation as you describe it. Quote
