Just bought some parts for my 04 Shee and one of them includes V-Force 3 Reeds, never done reeds before so I'm just wondering if there is anything I should know before I start doing it. Any input is appreciated, thanks.

you have to cut the tab on the stock intakes off. Make sure you use gaskets on both sides and get a good seal on the reeds and intake. Put in fresh plugs , start her up take her for a spin and do a plug check from there. Most cases you wont have to rejet but sometimes you will. Good luck and let us know how it turns out for you :headbang:

Alright thanks, I got the reeds out now, as for the tabs, do I just cut them off flush with the rest of the intake? What did you use to do this, should I try an exacto knife or something?

I used a razor blade to do mine. You will like those reeds. I put some of those on along with a coolhead and have so much more low end it's amazing!

Should I put some gasket sealer on the new VF3 gaskets or just bolt them right up? Also looks like there was some loc tite or something like that on the bolts when I pulled them out, assuming I should put some back on there??

Just got back from riding after I installed my VF3's and K&N Filter and what a difference, it has screaming top end now and I dont have a problem pulling on my friends 660 Raptor anymore.
