Soupbox660 Posted March 6, 2006 Report Posted March 6, 2006 Ok, so I'm tight on money and I'm trying to decide what to do about reeds. I'm getting ready to get my parts back and I'm wondering how the stock reeds will hold up to the port job. Cause I know they are meant for stock application and I'm afraid they are just going to break with the port job. Can I get away with it, or should I try and find the cash for some V-Forces? Quote
wesw Posted March 6, 2006 Report Posted March 6, 2006 they will work. make sure they are not chipped or cracked. some like the stockers others like the vforces. to each their own. it depends also on your motor. super high rever, the stocker might not hold up. Quote
. Posted March 6, 2006 Report Posted March 6, 2006 spend the 30-40 dollars on some dual stage boyeson reeds that will go on your stock cages and you'll be fine for now. It's the least you can do. It will improve your throttle response drastically Quote
banshee tuner Posted March 6, 2006 Report Posted March 6, 2006 You can get the tdr reeds for about $38, and port your cages and you will be good for now until you can get the v-force cages. Quote
