lasvegasduner Posted March 5, 2006 Report Posted March 5, 2006 Doing topend rebuild and found right piston and dome pitted. It is a duncan powerhead. What caused it? Does the dome need replaced? Could a loose sparkplug have caused this? I do not know the history of quad. Thanks in advance for help. Quote
ogre03 Posted March 5, 2006 Report Posted March 5, 2006 Where on the piston is it pitted? What size domes are you running, at what elevation, with what oct. fuel, and what other mods? Quote
Shee-Male Posted March 5, 2006 Report Posted March 5, 2006 pitting useually means detination, or you've lost a peice of the piston ring or a sparkplug electrode. Hone and replace. Quote
