mxturd Posted March 1, 2006 Report Posted March 1, 2006 Well I got my CPIs put on,,I did have Fattys,,and it seems like my Fattys hit a little harder,,and it seems like I have to kinda feather the throttle to get it to really get going,,Ive got 33PWK carbs, porting,v force3s , cool head with 19cc domes, and Im running 165 mains, 52 pilot, and needle is in the stock position that the carbs came with,,,,would just changing the pipes cause me to have to rejet,,,the plugs look good with a full throttle run,,just a little sluggish now Quote
Hilarious Posted March 1, 2006 Report Posted March 1, 2006 What kind of port job did you get? You may need to call up whomever did your port job for suggestions on jetting. He ought to be able to help you out. If I'm not mistaken the CPI's will move a lot more air than the fatties so you may be lean. How is the fittment on your CPI's, BTW. Quote
ellison445 Posted March 1, 2006 Report Posted March 1, 2006 Yeap, he is right.. You might want to up the size of your main. What size pilot are you running? those CPI should have you hauling ass right now, unless you have a port job that doesnt agree with them What kind of port job did you get? fastbanshee8 Posted March 1, 2006 Report Posted March 1, 2006 Hilarious,,the pipes fit OK,,,it could be better,,I was kinda suprised at that 480585[/snapback] Don't feel bad about the quality of fit on the CPI's, because I had to send a set of silencers back for replacement. The right side silencer was pointing down, and the left side silencer was pointing up. There was over an inch of difference, and it looked like crap. CPI needs to get some kind of quality control in place, because their quality of fit, usually sucks. Quote
wesw Posted March 1, 2006 Report Posted March 1, 2006 33-35 use the alot of the same jetting. find the needle and i give you some help Quote
rocketboy Posted March 2, 2006 Report Posted March 2, 2006 fat mains and the needle needs corrected .my .02 Quote
Too Many Toys Posted March 2, 2006 Report Posted March 2, 2006 Keep in mind that your CPI's are more of a top end pipe. Try adjusting your needle. Quote
