Turbobanshee_kid Posted February 28, 2006 Report Posted February 28, 2006 Ok I took my Banshee all apart to powder coat the frame and when I got the engine out of the frame I took it to my Banshee shop and had them look at it. Well the engine needed new cylinders so I got brand new 2005 ones. My old ones were ported and the new ones are not. I did not have the money to port the new ones, so they got the engine in like new condition. I put the engine back in the frame, put my Toomey T-5 Quote

Turbobanshee_kid Posted March 1, 2006 Author Report Posted March 1, 2006 What kind of air filter set up do you have? What is your needle position? What size pilots do you have? How do you know it's a rich condition? How are you mixing your oil and gas? Are your carbs in sync? Do you have the crossover tube in place? Just a bunch of questions. 480449 Pro flow with the K&N and open air box. Do you mean the needle jet? the one toomey sent me. do not know what size pilots. It is smoking alot. 24 to 1 or what it said in my banhsee book. I think so. and i think so Quote
Hilarious Posted March 1, 2006 Report Posted March 1, 2006 Well, with no lid on your air box with a K&N, I would guess that you would be lean on the main jet. At least that's how is was with my bike. As for it smoking, you mix a little more oil to your gas than I do. I mix mine at 32:1. More oil is gonna make more smoke. I'm guess something like a 320 on your main jet. Thats what I had in mine, with the exception of fatty pipes. What is your bike doing and what do your plugs look like? Quote
Turbobanshee_kid Posted March 1, 2006 Author Report Posted March 1, 2006 I had ported cylinders and i got new STD cylinders and they are not ported! Quote

Hilarious Posted March 1, 2006 Report Posted March 1, 2006 Go here.....BenBB's Jetting FAQ He didnt say how is bike was acting or why he thought it had a rich condition. I ran some 320's in my bike, stock cylinders and stock porting with K&N, no lid, fatties and V-force reed cages. I'm running 340's right now because of the colder weather. Just read that FAQ. It's awesome information on jetting. Quote
Posted March 1, 2006 Report Posted March 1, 2006 i got new STD cylinders ! 480683 lol do they got bumps on them go ahead and try jetting yourself if you mess up your carbs i will rebuild them for free and do everything else free...... get some balls and go for it... just check the plugs before u ride to assure ure not too lean . 30 bucks to install jets , needles , a arms , shocks , change steering stem bolt ..... is not in my agenda but if u fail to install the jets i will do all that for free. get your clymer out read the link the last person posted and you shouldnt have a problem doing it man .
