Bansheekidd97 Posted February 9, 2006 Report Posted February 9, 2006 hello everybody, this is my first post here, first off great site tons of good info. my question is im thinking about buying a 97 Banshee this will be my first one ive owned. (but ridding many) the guy is asking $2000 the only mods it has is 1 Toomey t5 pipes 2 uni open filters (no air box) 3 white bros boost bottle 4 msr handle bars 5 moose shock covers the plastic is in mint shape still has all the factoy stickers on it no cracks or anything. the frame looks good no ovious cracks or anything. shocks all good.tires all good. not missing any bolts are any stripped ones i could see. and the case is mint not broke or cracked. everything is there nothing missing still has the fatory tool kit under the seat. now for the bad 1 needs all brake pads 2 needs chain and all the guides 3 gonna need axle bearings soon 4 the worst thing it has a broken reed on right side any input on this would be great thank you Quote
NYUK Posted February 9, 2006 Report Posted February 9, 2006 sounds like you can beat him up on price a little. i pay less than 2 g`s for running bikes. Quote
BilDaKid Posted February 9, 2006 Report Posted February 9, 2006 Where are you located? I just finished shopping and picked up mine in San Diego on Monday. I found 6 or 7 banshees in this area, for less than 2500, all running with a few mods, pipes, filters and such. I say, price the repairs and take that off the price, he'll not take it, but at least you'll get the lowest he wants for the bike. If you're not going to be fixing it, my advice is to keep shopping. Banshee's are definetely more expensive out here than on the east coast, so I'm sure with this site, craigslist and atvtraderonline, you'll be able to find a good reliable shee in your budget. Quote
Bansheekidd97 Posted February 9, 2006 Author Report Posted February 9, 2006 i dont think i could live no futher from ya bildakid, i live in maine. i dont think ive seen 6 or 7 banshees for sale in ummm wellll years. well private sale anyway. ive seen this one run and actually ridden it. Quote
RIPPEN Posted February 9, 2006 Report Posted February 9, 2006 (edited) Wow... Bikes are lot cheaper where you guys are at. I looked around for a while with 4 thousand in hand and most all I could find was beat up and bent bikes.. Finaly found a straight one after looking at about 6-7 bikes. 2 doesn't sound that steap to me EDIT: oh and welcome to the HQ RIPPEN Edited February 9, 2006 by RIPPEN Quote
STLBILL Posted February 10, 2006 Report Posted February 10, 2006 Hey NYUK - what do you do with all the 'Shees you buy? Seems like someone could load up enough East Coast 'Shees and haul them out West for a good profit. Is that what you do? Quote
