brydon_hilder Posted February 3, 2006 Report Posted February 3, 2006 I was just wondering if you could install performance mufflers (just mufflers...say Power Core 2s) without having to rejet. Quote
fastbanshee8 Posted February 3, 2006 Report Posted February 3, 2006 Probably wouldn't be a good idea. Anytime you increase the engine capacities, on the intake and/or exhaust side, then you should rejet, unless you want to burn it up, by running too lean. Quote
2003LimitedBanshee Posted February 3, 2006 Report Posted February 3, 2006 My bet would be that you wouldn't have to rejet, if you were still running stock pipes. I don't know that you'll increase the engine's ability to flow much more by just swapping the silencers. It shouldn't make so much difference that you'd lean it out and burn it up, BUT, you may ultimately end up needing to go up a few sizes. Quote
fastbanshee8 Posted February 3, 2006 Report Posted February 3, 2006 It makes a noticeable difference, when going from stock silencers, to an aftermarket silencer. The stock silencers are pretty restrictive. Every Banshee is a little different, so you may not have to rejet, but I'd say the odds are, that you will rejet. Quote
