Ls7colorado Posted January 28, 2006 Report Posted January 28, 2006 (edited) Well thats about it, the trans will sometimes not wanna downshift right and will seems as if Im not even pullin gthe clutch in sometimes when im upshifting, This is only at idle or very very low RPMs. It fells like the shifter will move alot more sometimes than others also... Its not stripped or nothing. I have no clue were to start. It wasnt like this before I rode the otherday. Edited January 28, 2006 by Ls7colorado Quote
RNBRAD Posted January 28, 2006 Report Posted January 28, 2006 Everything adjusted ok? Check the clutch arm in the top case and make sure it lines up with the arrow when disengaged. Quote
crazywheelerman365 Posted January 28, 2006 Report Posted January 28, 2006 This might be a long shot but last summer I lost the sir clip and the claw washer that holds the idler gear on came off and I was stuck in 3rd gear almost all day !! It sucked . Maybe you got somethin washing around in there ? Quote
KpnitG Posted January 29, 2006 Report Posted January 29, 2006 I once ran my bike with low oil and I melted a gear onto my shaft.. Quote
BansheeBoy17 Posted January 29, 2006 Report Posted January 29, 2006 Mine is hard to shift when it comes to something as simple as low oil . I have an oil leak and I can tell when its low just on how its shifting . Quote

87banshee388 Posted January 31, 2006 Report Posted January 31, 2006 Try a new shifter shaft. thats what went on mine. you would shift in to second and it would stay in the middle. Then i would shift into third and the shifter would stay all the way up. It suck riding round silver lake sand dunes like that for the weekend. Quote
