2003LimitedBanshee Posted January 7, 2006 Report Posted January 7, 2006 Time. No seriously, as long as you are pressing the lock to release it, they will come apart. The moisture, dust etc. just causes them to take a set (really they corrode just slightly which makes for more resistance). If you can work them back and forth, from side to side, ever so slightly, it will make a big difference. But I never use anything in particular, every time you reach for a small screwdriver, it always seems to end up with a broken part. Quote

Thanks for your help. 456227[/snapback] I get to deal with stuck ones from time to time at the shop. One thing I have found is that sometimes the lock tab gets caught on an edge of the connector. Try pushing the connectors together slightly, then press the lock tab, then pull them apart(still pressing the lock tab).If that doesn't work, I get a second pair of hands so that I can carefully press the lock with a screwdriver, and then get the other person to pull the connector. FIRST BANSHEE Posted January 8, 2006 Report Posted January 8, 2006 and when you finally get it apart use dielectric when you put it back together. makes a good connection, keeps moisture out, makes it easier next time. Quote
