I got a 04 with T-5's, K&N without lid, boost bottle, noss head, 20cc domes, modquad impeller. I don't know what size jets I have in right now because I had a shop do my pipes and K&N. I put the head on and didn't need to change the jets. My question is, if I remove my air box, will I have to go with a bigger jet and if I do what size you think? I have no clue about jetting and have never done it  I am at sea level if that helps! HELP ANYBODY???

Compression won't affect jetting that much....W/ your settup, I'd go w/ 350 mains, needle 4th clip and stock pilots..

Too big in my opinion, he isn't ported, and still has the stock airbox, w/Pro Flow & K&N. I'm running the mods in my sig, and am only running 340's when I ride at sea level, approx 60 degrees. I agree that you'll probably like the 4th clip on the Dynojet needles (came with your Toomey Jet kit), but you may consider a 27.5 pilot at around 1.75 turns. Mine usually takes 3-4 kicks when cold (at dunes, sea level), and fires with 1 super easy kick once warm.

sounds like he's going to clamp ons the way I read it, not knowing what he's runnig now I would jet up 1 maybe 2 sizes. and that could be a 340 or 350.

you should read the whole post before giving advice.

If you remove your airbox and go with clamp ons you will need to jet up.

If your jetting is good, when ever you add more air you will need more fuel.

I helped JKJK jet his shee in Dumont a couple of years ago w/ pretty much the same mods as you. Thats what I ended up w/. The larger pilots were killing his throttle response slightly...he had no porting. Modded air box lid.

Thanks for the advice. You should read the mods I have in my signature before critiquing my suggestions. ;) I am running a 2:1 air filter, with the stock airbox completely removed (obviously), since he was not, I was pointing out that he was probably currently somwhere below where I was. I realize you must jet up when you remove the stock airbox, that's why I did on my own when I made the switch, thus I was suggesting that he would probably end up around there once he removed the airbox. Plus, I always end up with people telling me that 340's are way too big for the mods that I have. But thanks for explaining the basics of jetting to me, maybe you can stop by and help me jet my bike sometime. :yank:
