fastbanshee8 Posted January 5, 2006 Report Posted January 5, 2006 I run the MSD ignition, and it's great. If you decide to run it, just be sure and get the wiring harness for the inline charger, so that it charges the battery while the motor is above 3500 RPM. I don't have any problems with the battery going dead, unless I leave it plugged in to the CDI box. With the MSD, nothing is programmed into it. You can adjust everything, with the switches on the back of the CDI. It does take a while to install, because it has it's own harness. The OEM harness won't work. Other than being more difficult to install, I wouldn't run anything else. Quote
kazaa187 Posted January 8, 2006 Author Report Posted January 8, 2006 ya i was lookin at the msd but i seen u could only ride on it 2 hrs then have to charge it an i was like im all set lol but if u can do that ill get iit then Quote
Speedie Posted January 8, 2006 Report Posted January 8, 2006 (edited) I run RC batteries in mine and their good for 12 hours and I carry a spare. You can run a larger gap with the MSD too. It's pretty easy to install. What settings and plugs are you running Fast? I'm running 4 degrees advance and stock retard. I'm also running a NGK finewire gapped to .035. Just wondering not trying to steal a thread. Forgot to mention there are some on Ebay right now for sale, that's where I go mine. Edited January 8, 2006 by Speedie Quote
