ellison445 Posted January 3, 2006 Report Posted January 3, 2006 I would check for an airleak first. When I start w/ choke on each carb, it revs very high. WHat screw adjusts idle on keihin PWk??? 454761[/snapback] Quote

fast87 Posted January 4, 2006 Report Posted January 4, 2006 idle the bike and spray carb cleaner all around the intake connections and rubber parts, if the idle surges when u spray it over something you have an airleak...ir could even die when you do this...as you sit on the quad on the left side of the carbs there is a black plastic screw with a flathead on it, use a large flathead screwdriver and turn it in 1/4 turn at a time to adjust idle, if you're not sure unscrew the top of the carbs gently(no pliers..or with a rag around the teeth), pull out the sildes(note installed direction), and look 4 the screw that holds the slide up a little but..thats the idle, good luck ~Mark~ Quote
FIRST BANSHEE Posted January 5, 2006 Report Posted January 5, 2006 does it idle fine when the choke is off? I believe on your carbs you turn the choke knob to adjust idle. Quote
87sheerips Posted January 6, 2006 Author Report Posted January 6, 2006 turn choke to adjust idle huh, no shit ill try that out. When choke is off, the idle is good, then it wil drop and stall if i just let it sit. It will idle high and steady, fall a bit then stall. Kinda weird, started happening when I changed the jets for the winter. Quote
