I don't think I've ever seen a 5mm or 8mm, but I have seen plenty of 4's and 7's. You'd need new cylinders or new porting, depending on how aggressive your port work was (ask your builder), or you might be able to run a spacer plate. You're gonna need pipes to get anything out of that engine, but that's also true right now with just your porting. On top of that, you'll need a new head with stroker domes or get your stock head cut to accept the added stroke. Then you'll need bigger carbs, 35's work well for either but you might be able to use 33's on the +4, don't forget you'll also need a new intake manifold and air filter setup. You should get reeds and a stronger clutch, at least 3 heavy duty springs in the clutch. Next you'll need new pistons, if you go longrod like you should you'll have to run either blaster pistons and bore it out or 795 series pistons. Lastly, you'll probably want a longer swingarm, new chain and sprockets, billet impeller and maybe an aftermarket radiator. Of course you'll also need all the gaskets and seals. That's what you'll need to do it right on a budget.

Anything over +4mm stroke crank has to have the case trenched to make clearance for the bottom of the rod.

5mm and 8mm strokers are old school. Everybody is runnin 4mm and 7mm now.

the main reason people did away with the 5mm is because you gotta trench the cases. Thats more money for very little gain over the +4mm.
